Girlfriend

Now she knows

You’re married

And still she stays,

What a joke.

I pity your wife

And girlfriend,

Sealed behind

A screen of

smoke.

Spending ‘p’

X amount of grands

A day.

Chauffeuring

Bentleys,

As if I don’t know,

I’m not begging

You to

Stay.

I’m breaking

Free from you

I’ve heard, I know

Your lies,

Twisted words,

I’m stronger

than you

And your

Life.

Stupidity,

Blindness,

Has reigned

Too long.

Five years

Too soon,

Too late.

Love turned

 To hate.

I am an old Doctor. I have been happily and sucessfully married many years. My advice to young women is that I have been around long enough to see a lot of things, and I have never known a man to have true love for two women at the same time.

Good Write!
Too many women (unfortunately) commit themselves, put their heart and soul into a one-sided love relationship. They are manipulated into believing it is for real, when…
it is only an illusion.
( smoke @ mirrors as you put it.)
A man who plays these selfish games has only one true love, himself!

thank you, it’s true, he can’t even know what love really is? I don’t even think he loves himself, he is a contradiction as are his many relationships, he becomes addicted to the ‘new’ love of his life, it’s like getting sucked into his vortex, that’s a base for another poem!!!
